David Boothby has been appointed sales director of Donald Murray Paper, part of the Paper Company, and is hoping to "maintain business in a tough market, build sales and achieve all our goals and targets".
Donald Murray Paper has offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Bristol and Belfast and Mr Boothby is directing 40+ strong sales team, complemented by further customer support. He reports direct to Alistair MacDonald, managing director.

As Donald Murray we have strong local recognition; as PaperCo we have national identity and standing. That’s a formidable combination," says Mr Boothby.
Mr Boothby has held other positions within PaperCo. He opened the Newcastle operation and developed it before becoming managing director of Europoint Display. He had a short foray to Alba Paper but eventually returned to Donald Murray and his home in the north east. Today he still lives in Newcastle but works two days a week from Glasgow and travels extensively around the UK to the branches and to customers.
David Boothby has witnessed massive changes within the paper and print industry in his 20 years with Donald Murray Paper and anticipates many more to come in the foreseeable future.
