PaperCo is proud to announce that Nigel Jennings has been appointed Director, PPXE Health, Safety & Environment effective from 1st January 2009. He will be responsible for continuing the programme of ensuring a safe, healthy and environmentally conscious workplace for all 5,000 PaperlinX employees in every location across Europe.

This new role represents an extension to his current responsibilities, including being a member of the PPX ES&H Global Steering Group, working closely with other members in the area of operational sustainability, insurance & risk management. Nigel will report operationally to the three PPXE Regional Presidents.

Nigel joined the PaperlinX group in 1987 at Masons Paper and was appointed HS&E Manager for the Bunzl Group in 1997.  Seven years later in 2004 he became HS&E Manager for PaperlinX UK & Ireland and in 2007 his responsibilities were extended to provide advice and guidance to the Benelux, Scandinavia & Germany Region.

Commenting on Nigel’s appointment, Toby Marchant - Chief Executive Officer - PaperLinx Europe said "I am certain Nigel’s hard work, determination and expertise will ensure greater alignment of our HS&E programme and secure our strategy of continuous improvement".
