What is Carbon Balanced Paper?

Put simply, this is where the carbon impacts of a purchased product have been estimated and an equivalent amount of carbon is either prevented from being released, or is absorbed from the atmosphere.

Carbon Balancing is facilitated by the World Land Trust (WLT), an ecological charity, whose involvement offers our customers and their clients peace of mind that the credibility and integrity of how carbon impacts are balanced (offset) is assured.

Carbon Balanced Paper products

Club is our new range of coated paper and board that delivers outstanding printed results. Club is offered as Carbon Balanced Paper and is available in Gloss, Silk or Matt finishes in a range of weights from 90 to 400 gsm. Club is FSC certified guaranteeing that the paper making fibres are sourced from well managed forests.

Advocate is PaperCo’s leading corporate communications paper and already has strong environmental credentials. As an inherent part of these products’ features and benefits both Club and Advocate are available as Carbon Balanced. The cost of balancing the carbon impact of these products is accounted for and is included within the invoice price.

All other PaperCo products, where the carbon impacts have been estimated, can be offered as Carbon Balanced Paper on an Opt-In basis.

When you choose Carbon Balanced Paper, you are entitled to use a specially developed logo on your printed job. This instant, highly visible seal conveys your commitment to reducing carbon impacts and as a result can enhance your brand.
